TWRCTRL

Privacy Policy

TWRCTRL has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. To keep the game running and to see how it is played, it handles a small amount of data, described below.

Who is responsible

TWRCTRL is published by TERRN AB, Sweden, which is responsible for the data described here. Questions or requests go to franklin@terrn.se.

Play statistics

When you play a session or a quick scenario on twrctrl.com, the game reports how the session went about once a minute while you are active. Sandbox sessions never report. A report holds:

Your IP address, the full browser identification string, your city and any lasting identifier are not stored by TWRCTRL, with the statistics or anywhere else (our host keeps its own logs, see below). Because every tab starts a new session, a returning player cannot be recognised. The statistics are kept with no end date, since they cannot be linked to a person.

Why: to understand which airports and features are played, and to improve the game (legitimate interest).

Keeping the game running and protected

Like any website, the server sees your IP address and browser identification string when your browser loads the game. They are used to:

Why: security and preventing abuse (legitimate interest).

Who else handles data

Both are based in the United States and may process data there, under their own safeguards for transfers from the EU/EEA. Nothing is sold or shared with anyone else.

What stays in your browser

TWRCTRL sets no cookies. It saves a few settings in your browser's local storage so the game remembers them. They never leave your device:

For the open tab only, it also remembers where the visit came from and whether to skip the intro after a reload. Clearing your browser's site data removes all of it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to how it is used. Since the statistics hold nothing that identifies you, we usually cannot find data belonging to one person, but write to franklin@terrn.se and we will help where we can. You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Sweden that is IMY, the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection.

Changes

If what the game collects changes, this page is updated and the date at the top moves.
